Marbella, like most places in the world, has been hit hard by the coronavirus global pandemic. At marbelja.nl, all services are available for free to charities seeking help: blog posts, Instagram, Facebook. If I can help in any way please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or DM me on Instagram.
The current situation in Marbella is bad. The second wave is even more damaging as the first, as many families and indivuals no longer have backup, as they have already suffered through the tough spring. Moreover, as a city that relies heavily on tourism, this extremely quiet summer hasn’t helped. While things were going well, Spain experienced a 75% decrease in tourists this July compared to 2019. Many businesses of all sizes went bankrupt and/or closed shop.
Many families no longer have a home, food or other basic necessities. While Marbella may seem affluent and thriving there are many neighbourhoods where life is rougher.
During the first wave, I stopped all promotional posts and focussed on raising awareness and news about coronavirus in Marbella and the travel restrictions. During the approaching wave, I offer this platform and my help to anyone who needs it.

My Mission: I’d like to show the many faces of Marbella. Not just the luxury and glamour, even though that also plays a part, but the hidden gems, the community, the problems and the achievements of the people of our city. However, I need your help! Please share this website and put your grain of sand in raising awareness. Eventually, everyone should say ‘Ja’ to Marbella!
